DESCRIPTION
Pravastatin is an enzyme blocker also known as a "statin." It is used along with a proper diet, to help lower cholesterol and fats (triglycerides) in the blood. Reducing cholesterol and triglycerides help prevent strokes and heart attacks. A study including 885 men with coronary artery disease (CAD) investigated pravastatin treatment’s effects on the coronary cavity. Researchers observed that pravastatin treatment positively affects carotid and femoral artery walls.

  • Not for use in active liver disease or in patients with high levels of liver function tests.
  • You should not consume large amounts of alcohol or have a history of liver disease.

PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING CAUTIONS
